ADREE is seeking a Software Technical, Senior Engineer with a strong software development background to provide technical leadership, drive engineering best practices, and support the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, mentoring, architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution of software development initiatives and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.
  • Design and contribute to system architecture, including microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
  • Make technical decisions related to application design, development, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready software while remaining hands-on with coding.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards, coding best practices, and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define technical solutions and delivery approaches.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support their technical and professional growth.
  • Provide technical guidance to the engineering team and support effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Support technical roadmap planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery planning.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
  • Identify and address system performance, scalability, reliability, and security concerns.
  • Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations when required.
  • Promote Agile/Scrum practices and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Support conflict resolution and facilitate effective technical discussions within the team.
  • Balance hands-on development responsibilities with team leadership and technical coordination.

Requirements

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2–3 years in a technical leadership, senior engineer, or team lead capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering production systems at scale.
  • Experience mentoring or managing a team of engineers (typically 3–8 people).

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in at least one primary language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#).
  • Deep understanding of system design and architecture (microservices, distributed systems, APIs).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid grasp of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and data modeling.
  • CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and performance optimization.
  • Experience with version control workflows (Git) and code review processes.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing engineering best practices.
  • Strong communication skills — able to work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor junior/mid-level engineers and support their growth.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on coding with team leadership responsibilities.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience with technical roadmap planning and estimation.
  • History of driving architectural decisions and technical strategy.
  • Experience with incident management and on-call rotations.
  • Contributions to open source or technical writing/blogging (nice to have).
