Product Marketing Manager - Central/Northern NJ
Why 1Kosmos?
Most enterprises verify identity once at onboarding, then rely on credentials for the access decisions that follow. That gap creates room for fraud, impersonation, credential sharing, and social engineering. 1Kosmos is built to close it.
We verify the person behind a credential in real time across 190-plus countries and 4,000-plus document types, with identity proofing, liveness, and deepfake defenses. We then help enterprises reuse verified identity across workforce and customer journeys without relying on passwords alone. We are also extending that trust model to emerging use cases such as continuous employee identity and AI agent identity.
1Kosmos was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification, holds FedRAMP High authorization, processes tens of millions of identity verifications per year, and supports more than 2 billion authentications.
We operate like a growth-stage company: priorities move quickly, technical detail matters, and strong ideas are expected to turn into usable field assets, campaigns, launches, and customer stories.
About the Role
The Product Marketing Manager - Central/Northern NJ will own the connective tissue between Product, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, Analyst Relations, and Demand Generation. This is a hands-on role for someone who can understand a technically complex product, find the commercial story inside it, and turn that story into a system the field can use.
You will lead positioning and messaging across identity verification, workforce identity, passwordless authentication, biometrics, fraud and risk signals, continuous identity, and emerging agent identity initiatives. You will also work directly with strategic opportunities to understand what is resonating, what is blocking deals, and what should become reusable product marketing for the broader market.
This is not a content-production-only role. You will help define what we say, who we say it to, how we prove it, how we equip the field, and how we measure whether the story is working.
What You Will Own
Positioning, Messaging, and Category Narrative
- Own 1Kosmos's messaging architecture from company narrative to product, persona, use case, partner, and vertical messaging.
- Translate technical differentiation into buyer-facing value for CISOs, IAM leaders, fraud and risk teams, security architects, HR and workforce leaders, and public-sector stakeholders.
- Build clear narratives for established offerings and emerging initiatives, including KYE and KYA, without overstating product maturity or unsupported claims.
- Define and maintain ICPs, buyer personas, jobs-to-be-done, use-case maps, and proof points that Sales and Marketing can use operationally.
- Shape category points of view around verified identity, continuous trust, deterministic identity signals, reusable identity, and the limits of credential-only or probabilistic approaches.
Strategic Deal and Sales Enablement
- Partner directly with Sales leadership and account teams on priority opportunities to sharpen the story around the customer's architecture, pain points, buying criteria, and business impact.
- Turn recurring questions from strategic deals into reusable collateral rather than one-off answers.
- Build and maintain the core field set: executive decks, discovery guides, solution briefs, use-case narratives, battlecards, objection handling, demo storylines, ROI and proof-point libraries, and one-pagers.
- Lead enablement for major launches and new narratives, including live sessions, recorded modules, certification or knowledge checks where useful, and feedback loops with the field.
- Use win/loss signals, deal reviews, and seller feedback to continuously improve positioning and enablement.
Customer Evidence and Market Proof
- Build a repeatable customer-evidence program that captures measurable outcomes, deployment speed, fraud reduction, user experience improvements, operational impact, and expansion stories.
- Partner with Customer Success and account teams to develop named case studies, video testimonials, references, proof-point slides, and vertical-specific stories.
- Create a searchable proof library so strong customer evidence can be reused quickly in sales, analyst, partner, and campaign motions.
- Maintain discipline around substantiation. Every metric and product claim should be traceable to an approved source.
Competitive and Market Intelligence
- Own a living view of the identity, fraud, workforce, authentication, and emerging agent-security landscape.
- Translate competitor moves into specific guidance: where we win, where we do not, how to position the difference, and what Product should know.
- Maintain competitive battlecards and trigger-based guidance that can be used during active sales conversations.
- Track category shifts, analyst research, standards activity, partner ecosystems, and adjacent technologies that may change buyer expectations.
Vertical, Partner, and Campaign GTM
- Develop complete vertical narratives for priority markets such as Healthcare, Retail, Financial Services, Federal/SLED, Higher Education, and Enterprise Workforce, with priorities adjusted as the ICP and pipeline evolve.
- Connect each vertical narrative to concrete buyers, problems, workflows, proof points, competitors, partners, and target accounts.
- Partner with Demand Generation and BDR leadership to turn product marketing into ABM, outbound, event, webinar, executive outreach, and digital campaign motions.
- Support partner go-to-market with better-together messaging, joint solution narratives, marketplace or channel collateral, co-marketing assets, and partner-facing enablement for strategic ecosystems such as Microsoft and public-sector/channel partners.
Product Launch, Packaging, and Commercial Readiness
- Own go-to-market planning for major launches and releases, from audience and positioning through launch assets, enablement, activation, and post-launch learning.
- Partner with Product and Sales on packaging, pricing inputs, SKU clarity, marketplace positioning, and the buyer-facing explanation of commercial options.
- Create launch tiers and a practical readiness process so the amount of content and activation matches the importance of the release.
- Bring market and field feedback back into product strategy, roadmap conversations, and future launch plans.
Requirements
- 7+ years of B2B product marketing experience, including meaningful time in a startup or high-growth environment where you personally did the work as well as set direction.
- Strong domain fluency in identity, IAM, cybersecurity, fraud/risk, workforce security, or an adjacent enterprise technology market. Direct identity-verification experience is valuable but not the only path to success.
- A track record of building positioning and messaging from the ground up, validating it with customers and sellers, and changing it when market evidence says it is not working.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles where technical architecture, security, compliance, procurement, partners, and business value all influence the decision.
- Evidence that your enablement changed seller behavior or commercial outcomes, not just that content was produced.
- Strong competitive instincts and the ability to distinguish meaningful differentiation from feature-by-feature noise.
- Exceptional writing and editorial judgment. You can turn technical discussions into a CISO-ready story, a concise seller asset, an analyst narrative, or a partner brief without losing accuracy.
- Comfort using modern AI-assisted research and content workflows, including tools such as ChatGPT Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools, while verifying claims, protecting confidential information, and editing aggressively for clarity and human tone.
- High agency and strong prioritization. You can separate a strategic narrative problem from a last-minute content request, handle both when needed, and build a system that reduces repeat work.
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed. The playbook is still being built, and this role will help build it.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or an adjacent field.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range starting at $140,000+ USD annually, with equity or other long-term upside appropriate to the role and company stage.

- Equipment budget and a customized workstation for the tools needed to do the job.
- Hybrid work model with remote flexibility, anchored by in-person collaboration at our Edison, New Jersey headquarters.
- Direct exposure to enterprise customers, product leadership, strategic partners, and a fast-moving identity-security market.
